Alphabet Manuscript

This is the last manuscript I made. 48 fully illuminated pages, calf parchment, inks and gold-leaf.

The book is all about “Psalm 119” …. Mizmor 119 (Psalm 119) consists of 176 pesukim (verses) arranged in 22 portions of eight verses each. Each of these 22 portions is identified by one of the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. That letter appears as the first letter in the eight pesukim in its set.
This is the longest psalm in the book of “Tehilim” . Every portion , with its eight verses is written on a single page, the first word illuminated, and on the adjacent page, I encrusted the letter in question inside a Magen David “Six branches star”, in gold leaf.
